Charles Scaggs, the former WWE, WCW and ECW wrestler known as 2 Cold Scorpio, was sentenced on October 9 to six years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, Ringside News and Wrestlezone reported. The sentence follows his guilty plea to second-degree assault and armed criminal action in a 2024 case in Kansas City, Missouri.
Both outlets trace the case to June 15, 2024, at a Love's Travel Stop in Kansas City, where Scaggs was working as a security guard. Another man suffered multiple cut and stab wounds in the confrontation. Wrestlezone reported that Scaggs claimed self-defense before reaching a plea agreement.
Scaggs was taken into custody on September 17, 2026, after admitting in court that he brandished a firearm while out on bond, which violated the conditions of his release. Ringside News said the court described the bond violation as "a danger to public safety." Ringside News also reported that Scaggs returned to wrestling in the weeks after his guilty plea before he was jailed again.
The court ordered Scaggs to attend and complete the 120-day Shock Incarceration program under Section 559.115.3 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. Wrestlezone reported that the Department of Corrections will send the court a report and recommendation when the program ends. If Scaggs completes it and the judge approves, he could serve the rest of the term under community supervision. If he does not complete it, or probation is denied, he remains in prison for the full six years. Wrestlezone said a further update is expected in early 2027.
Wrestlezone notes that WWE fans knew Scaggs as Flash Funk, and that he also competed as 2 Cold Scorpio in WWE, WCW and ECW. As of October 9, he has a six-year sentence and a 120-day program ahead of him, and whether he serves the full term will be decided by a judge after the program ends.
