AEW All Out sold out the NOW Arena in Chicago on Saturday night while WWE ran its Worlds Collide show at the nearby Allstate Arena on the same date. 411Mania, citing WrestleTix data, reported that All Out distributed 9,456 tickets and Worlds Collide distributed 13,853. It also noted that Worlds Collide did not air live.
Ahead of the show, PWMania reported that All Out had distributed 9,051 tickets and was expected to sell out before the event. The same report said secondary market prices were starting at $61 and put WWE's ticket count for Worlds Collide, billed as WWE x AAA, at 10,280. PWMania listed a CM Punk appearance and an AAA Reina de Reinas Championship match for the WWE show.
The All Out main event had Will Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley. PWMania said ticket sales increased after the match was announced on the September 2 edition of Dynamite. 411Mania reported that Ospreay successfully defended the title.
Speaking at the post-show media scrum, Ospreay addressed the competing WWE event in Chicago, as quoted by 411Mania: "Everyone who came to this show tonight chose the right company. We deliver the best pay-per-views and the best pro wrestling."
411Mania wrote that Ospreay pointed to the sellout as a point of pride, noting that the show filled the building despite WWE running an event in the same city on the same night.
The totals differ between outlets: PWMania's pre-show counts were 9,051 for All Out and 10,280 for Worlds Collide, while 411Mania's 9,456 and 13,853 are the WrestleTix figures it cited for tickets distributed.
By WrestleTix's count, All Out sold out the NOW Arena at 9,456 tickets, and Worlds Collide distributed 13,853 tickets at the Allstate Arena.
