AEW announced on Sunday that Benjamin Satterley, who wrestled as Pac and as Neville in WWE, has died at age 40. Satterley had competed the night before, challenging Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship in the opening match of the All Out main card on Saturday, Sept. 26, according to Fightful. El Idolo retained the title.
AEW's statement described Satterley as a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England who began wrestling in 2004 and was known for "innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability." The company said he signed with AEW in 2019 and "competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history." The statement did not give a cause of death.
In WWE he competed as Neville, and Fightful lists the NXT Championship, the NXT Tag Team Championships and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship among his titles there. Triple H pointed to NXT Arrival as the moment that marked the beginning of a new era for the brand. WWE.com also lists his match against Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Raw of Aug. 3, 2015.
In AEW, POST Wrestling lists him as the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion and an AEW World Trios Champion as a member of Death Triangle. Fightful counts him as a two-time Trios Champion.
Tributes followed from across the industry. Triple H wrote on X that he "had the pleasure of working with Ben in the early days of @WWENXT" and called him "an extraordinary talent and even kinder human being," Fightful reported. Sting wrote, "Extremely talented. Nothing he couldn't do. Loved and respected by all of us. God bless Pac's family," according to 411Mania.
AEW's statement extended condolences to Satterley's family, friends and fans. As of Monday, no cause of death has been announced.
