Crown Jewel moves to Kingdom Arena after Riyadh Season announces venue change

Crown Jewel is moving to a different venue in Riyadh. Riyadh Season announced on October 28 that the WWE event had been "moved to a new venue," and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported the new site as Kingdom Arena. The announcement itself did not name the building.

Riyadh Season said "all ticket holders will receive a full refund, and tickets will be re-released to everyone within the next 48 hours," according to Heavy.

The show had been set for November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District. KhelNow reported that construction work was underway at that site despite rising security concerns across the region.

Those concerns include a ballistic missile that Saudi-led coalition officials said air defense systems intercepted heading toward Riyadh shortly after 4 a.m. local time on October 23. KhelNow reported that another ballistic missile aimed at Khamis Mushait and two drones aimed at southern Saudi Arabia were also intercepted, with no casualties or property damage reported. Heavy also pointed to attacks on airports in Saudi Arabia earlier this month.

Wrestling Inc noted that TKO leadership had previously said the event would "proceed as planned." KhelNow reported that the company had considered contingency options, including a possible alternative venue in the United States, but that neither a relocation nor a postponement had been officially announced at that point.

Fightful Select reported that sources on site indicated the show would still take place in Riyadh, just not at the temporary Riyadh Season Stadium. Fightful added that its sources at WWE headquarters in Stamford learned of the change from the public announcement.

No official reason for the move has been reported, and the Kingdom Arena detail comes from Meltzer rather than from the announcement. WWE has not said whether the card or the November 7 date will change.

As of October 30, Crown Jewel is expected to remain in Riyadh, with refunds available and new tickets due within 48 hours of the October 28 announcement.
