Joe Hennig, known in WWE as Curtis Axel, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor disorderly conduct in Anoka County, Minnesota, Fightful reported. A plea agreement was submitted on August 24, 2026. The charges stem from a May 17 incident at a McDonald's in the county.
Two other charges, refusing chemical testing and interfering with a peace officer, were dismissed under the agreement, according to Fightful's Jeremy Lambert.
The sentence is 90 days. Eighty-seven of those days were stayed, and three days were credited for time served. Fightful reported that Hennig serves no additional jail time if he meets the conditions of the sentence.
As reported, the three days already credited are the only jail time in the sentence so far. The stayed days are not served if Hennig meets the conditions attached to the sentence, which Fightful laid out in its report on the agreement.
He was placed on probation for one year. The probation is supervised, though it may become unsupervised after five months, Fightful reported. The terms require Hennig to "remain law-abiding and show good behavior while having no alcohol or drug-related offenses or assaultive/violent/disorderly/threatening behavior."
The agreement also calls for a comprehensive assessment and completion of a Mothers Against Drunk Driving Impact Panel. Hennig owes a $50 fine, due within 90 days.
Fightful's report did not include a statement from Hennig. As it stands, Hennig is on one year of probation under the plea agreement, with the stayed days hanging on his meeting its conditions.
