Ethan Page defeated Chad Gable to win the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night Raw from Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 2, according to WWE.com. The show ended with Sami Zayn hitting a Helluva Kick on Roman Reigns, five days before the two champions meet at WWE Crown Jewel.
WWE.com reported that Page went after Gable's injured neck and shoulder throughout the title match. Gable attacked Page's knee with a Dragon Screw and hit Chaos Theory, but could not hold the bridge because of the neck. Page answered with a Twisted Grin, kicked Gable into an exposed turnbuckle and finished with an Egoplex for the pin. WWE.com described it as Page's first title on Raw, and Fightful also lists Page as the winner and new champion.
Reigns opened the show. WWE.com said the World Heavyweight Champion dismissed The 946 as a threat in a face to face with Undisputed WWE Champion Zayn, who refused to back down ahead of Crown Jewel. Fightful reported that Reigns vowed to make Zayn acknowledge him at the event.
The closing segment was Solo Sikoa against Royce Keys, and the two outlets record the finish differently. WWE.com lists a no contest, while Fightful has Sikoa winning by disqualification. Both agree on what ended it: The 946 attacked Sikoa, and a brawl between The 946 and The Bloodline followed. WWE.com named Bronco Nima, Lucien Price and Carmelo Hayes as the members of The 946 involved and said Reigns and The Usos intervened. A hooded man was revealed as NXT's Cruz Montana, who leveled Reigns and aligned with The 946. Zayn then delivered the Helluva Kick to Reigns to end the broadcast.
John Cena made his first Raw appearance since retiring and announced the John Cena Classic for December 14, according to WWE.com and Fightful. A WWE.com announcement article places the event at ESPN Wide World of Sports near Orlando, Florida, as a special edition of Raw streaming on Netflix. It describes the format as "WWE's biggest names across Raw and SmackDown against the brightest future Superstars from NXT," with Club WWE members voting in real time for the top Superstar of the night. Cena named Cody Rhodes as the first participant. Two day combo tickets go on sale November 13 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.
Also on the show, Judgment Day's Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez defeated Chelsea Green, IYO SKY and Tiffany Stratton in a six woman tag team match. WWE.com said Morgan pinned Green after a distraction, and Green and Morgan were called out as Saturday's Crown Jewel opponents. The Vision's Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Austin Theory, with Logan Paul, defeated Penta, Je'Von Evans and Dragon Lee in a six man tag, with Breakker spearing Evans out of mid air for the finish.
Randy Orton also appeared in a separate segment. Both outlets report that he invoked Dusty Rhodes in a warning to Cody Rhodes ahead of their Last Man Standing match at Crown Jewel. Rhodes did not appear on the show in person.
Crown Jewel is Saturday. Reigns and Zayn, Green and Morgan, and Rhodes and Orton in a Last Man Standing match were each advanced on this Raw.
