Laynie Luck will become a free agent because WWE did not renew her WWE ID contract, according to Fightful Select. The report, written by Jeremy Lambert and published on October 8, came five days after Luck lost the WWE ID Women's Championship to Monica Monroe on October 3, 2026.

Fightful's report states: "Laynie Luck will effectively be a free agent tomorrow, as her WWE ID deal was not renewed." Fightful said further details are available only to Fightful Select subscribers.

Fightful put the length of her title reign at 321 days, with 23 successful defenses. Luck appeared on WWE Evolve programming during the reign.

Wrestling Inc reported that Luck won the vacant title in November 2025 at Wrestling Open RI in Cranston, Rhode Island. She won an opening six-way qualifier, then outlasted Brittnie Brooks, Notorious Mimi, Tiara James, Airica Demia and Shannon LeVangie in the elimination match, eliminating Demia and Mimi last. The title had been vacant since Kylie Rae relinquished it in September because of pregnancy.

WWE ID is described by SLAM Wrestling as a prospect development program involving the Performance Center and Evolve. It has seen other exits this year. SLAM Wrestling reported that Veronica Haven announced her departure on Instagram on July 31, 2026, and that Kai Kavari left the day before. Haven said at the time: "I learned a lot at the Performance Center, and look fondly on all of the memories and friends I made along the way." Those exits were reported in July and are separate from Luck's contract situation.

Fightful's report did not include a statement from Luck or from WWE, and where Luck will wrestle next has not been reported. As of October 8, she is set to be a free agent, per Fightful Select.
