Liv Morgan retained the Women's World Championship on Monday Night Raw, but only because Becky Lynch won the match by disqualification when Judgment Day interfered, WWE.com reported. Lynch was in the title match because Stephanie Vaquer, who had been advertised as Morgan's challenger, was not medically cleared, and general manager Adam Pearce replaced her with Lynch.
The Judgment Day attack forced the official to ring the bell. Chelsea Green and IYO SKY repelled the assault, and Tiffany Stratton, who holds a Money in the Bank contract, nearly cashed in on the fallen champion before Dominik Mysterio pulled Morgan to safety.
In the other title match, Sami Zayn retained the Undisputed WWE Championship over Je'Von Evans with the Helluva Kick. WWE.com described the finish as controversial. Penta, who holds a Money in the Bank briefcase, came out as if to cash in, and Bron Breakker attacked him at ringside, a distraction that let Zayn hit the finish. After the bell, Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked both Penta and Evans with Spears and Tsunamis.
Bayley defeated Lyra Valkyria in a No Disqualification match. According to WWE.com, Bayley put Valkyria through a table at ringside with a flying elbow from the second rope, then locked in a crossface with a kendo stick for the submission.
Also on the show, IYO SKY defeated Raquel Rodriguez in a non-title match by countering the Tejana Bomb into a pin, and Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez attacked SKY afterward. Ethan Page and Big Cass beat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee after Gable was taken out at ringside. Cass hit a big boot on Lee and Page finished with the Egoplex for the pin.
Raw also set matches for Crown Jewel, which takes place Nov. 7 in Riyadh. Zayn will face World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in a Champion vs. Champion match, WWE.com said. Khel Now reported that Penta and Evans will challenge Breakker and Austin Theory for the World Tag Team Championship.
Next Monday's Raw, on Nov. 2, comes from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and starts at 6 p.m. ET on Netflix, two hours earlier than usual, Sacnilk reported. Solo Sikoa will face Royce Keys, and WWE announced that John Cena returns to Raw next week, according to Khel Now. When Stratton will use her Money in the Bank contract has not been announced.
Heading into the Nov. 2 show, Morgan still holds the Women's World Championship and Zayn still holds the Undisputed WWE Championship.
