Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank on Saturday, October 10, in New Orleans. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the match official, according to Wrestling Inc. and WWE.com.

The match was set on September 15, the day after Reigns retained his title against Penta in Mexico City, WWE.com reported. Knight attacked Reigns with a BFT after that match, and Wrestling Inc. said it came after Raw went off the air.

Pearce announced the match with these words, as quoted by Wrestling Inc.: "I am hereby making it official. October 10th. New Orleans, Louisiana at Money In The Bank. Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight."

Knight has pursued the title since Reigns retained against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, Wrestling Inc. reported. WWE.com said Knight demanded a title shot on Raw after SummerSlam, claiming Reigns relied on his family for advantages.

It is not Knight's first challenge to Reigns. Wrestling Inc. reported that Knight faced Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Crown Jewel 2023 and did not win. His most recent world title shot came at Clash in Paris last year, in a World Heavyweight Championship match that also included Rollins, CM Punk and Jey Uso.

Money in the Bank starts at 6 p.m. ET and 3 p.m. PT on Saturday. WWE.com lists the show on the ESPN App in the United States and on Netflix internationally.

Reigns and Knight are set to meet Saturday night in New Orleans with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
