Saudi Arabian representatives visited WWE headquarters in recent weeks for kickoff meetings on WrestleMania 43, which is planned for Saudi Arabia in 2027, Fightful Select reported. WWE has not announced a date for the event. Fightful said the company hopes to reveal it around Crown Jewel in Riyadh on November 7, if it is not announced beforehand.
WrestlingHeadlines, crediting Fightful Select, said the meetings took place a couple of weeks before its September 29 report. A WWE source told Fightful that "WrestleMania's Saudi Arabia plans are why the date has been announced later than usual." The show will be the first WrestleMania held outside North America.
WrestlingHeadlines also reported that the Saudi representatives want to make the event as big as possible. It said the late announcement has left independent promotions unsure how to schedule shows around WrestleMania weekend. Crown Jewel is set for a temporary outdoor stadium in Riyadh, and WrestlingHeadlines said construction on the site was due to begin the week of its report.
On the card, Dave Meltzer reported on September 11 that WWE is believed to be building toward Roman Reigns against Oba Femi as the Sunday main event, according to Wrestling Inc's account of the report. Meltzer said he was not confirming the match as locked in, describing it as the believed main event WWE wants to run with "as of this moment." He added that creative plans in WWE are always subject to change.
Fightful Select also reported that The Rock and Steve Austin have not yet been approached for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia.
WWE has not announced a date or a card for the event. For now, WrestleMania 43 is planned for Saudi Arabia, with WWE aiming to set the date around Crown Jewel on November 7.
