Steven Borden Jr. was taken to a hospital for evaluation after a mid-air collision with Kevin Knight stopped a tag team match at AEW All Out on Saturday night. AEW owner Tony Khan said later that Borden was awake and responsive and that his CT scan came back clear.
Bleacher Report wrote that Borden and Knight jumped from opposite turnbuckles nearest the ramp in a No. 1 contender tag team match and collided. Borden appeared to lose consciousness after the impact. The referee checked on him, an AEW official entered the ring, and the match was stopped. OutKick, part of Fox News, described the spot as a coast-to-coast move and reported that Borden landed hard and struck the back of his head on the mat. Knight and Kyle Fletcher were declared the winners.
Broadcaster Tony Schiavone told viewers that Borden was "conscious and responsive" and was being taken to the hospital, according to OutKick. Bleacher Report said Schiavone gave a positive update on Borden's health later in the evening.
Khan then gave an update on the hospital results, as quoted by OutKick: "Thankfully, Steven Borden (is) awake, responsive at the hospital. He had a CT scan and all the tests have come back good."
Khan added, per OutKick: "So far, all good results and we are hopeful Steven is going to fly home tomorrow to his family."
Borden is early in his career. Bleacher Report said he began training under Darby Allin in May 2024, started working dark matches in December 2025, and made his official television debut in August 2026.
It is not yet known when Borden could return to the ring, or whether any further testing is planned beyond the CT scan Khan described.
For now, Borden is reported awake and responsive, his CT scan and other tests have come back good, and AEW is hopeful he flies home to his family on Sunday.
