WWE and AAA's Worlds Collide averaged 76,000 concurrent viewers worldwide and peaked at 107,000, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. The special premiered Wednesday, September 30, at 7 p.m. ET, one hour before AEW aired its tribute edition of Dynamite for Pac.

Meltzer said the figure combines English and Spanish streams. PWMania quoted him: "It averaged 76,000 viewers. This is a worldwide number in both English and Spanish. Peaked at 107,000, which would be the end of the main event." The show streamed on the WWE and AAA YouTube channels.

The main event saw CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano defeat Omos, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. PWMania reported that the event was taped Saturday at Allstate Arena in Chicago in front of 14,000 people.

The timing drew criticism from inside the industry. Meltzer said on the program, "I know a lot of people were unhappy that they ran it when they did," and noted that WWE could have moved the broadcast to another time but did not. PWMania quoted him saying WWE "probably should have moved it."

The scheduling was reported before the show aired. Cultaholic wrote that PWInsider first reported WWE planned to keep Worlds Collide on its scheduled date and time, and that Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live later reported an overwhelming number of people within WWE were against airing it opposite Dynamite.

WWE kept the show in that slot. No comment from WWE on the timing has been reported, and AEW's viewership for its tribute edition of Dynamite is not yet known.
