WWE is not planning to announce the date of WrestleMania 43 in October, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select. The event is set for April 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the company has not yet said which day it will take place.

WrestleMania 43 will be the first WrestleMania held outside North America. PWMania reported, citing Fightful sources, that Saudi representatives recently visited WWE headquarters for preparatory meetings, and that a WWE source confirmed the Saudi Arabia location factored into the delayed announcement.

WrestleVotes gave two reasons for holding the date back, as relayed by Wrestling Inc. The first is logistics. WWE wants the details worked out before it names a date, and ticket distribution in Riyadh requires special coordination. PWMania, summarizing the same report, said the Saudi location creates unusual circumstances for how tickets are expected to be distributed.

The second reason is competitive. By keeping the date private, WWE leaves rival promotions unable to plan counter-programming for April or for WrestleMania weekend. PWMania wrote that the approach keeps stateside competition in limbo. Wrestling Inc named AEW as the promotion most likely to mount a counter-event. The reports use AEW as an example and do not say it has been blocked from scheduling anything.

Wrestling Inc noted that WWE Crown Jewel, which also takes place in Riyadh, had been viewed as an ideal place to announce the date. PWMania said sources hope the date will be revealed around Crown Jewel in Riyadh on November 7 if it does not come sooner.

The exact date of WrestleMania 43 is not yet known. As of Friday, WWE has not announced it, and the reports on the delay do not name one.
