Fightful reports that WWE has put a hold on the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans from March 12 to April 21, 2029, a window that lines up with when WrestleMania 45 would be held. WWE has not confirmed the report. Sports Illustrated's FanNation, which carried the story, wrote that the company did not confirm the news and had nothing to officially announce.
According to Sports Illustrated, WWE reportedly needs to account for load-ins and wants to keep options available for scheduling purposes. Slam Wrestling noted that the reported hold does not guarantee New Orleans will host WrestleMania in 2029 and that WWE has yet to confirm its plans.
The report follows the shift of WrestleMania 42. New Orleans and the Superdome were originally designated as the host for the 2026 event, but WWE changed course and returned to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which also hosted WrestleMania 41. Sports Illustrated wrote that the move left the city looking for future compensation, and Slam Wrestling reported that the company said New Orleans would have another opportunity in the future.
The Superdome has history with the event. Sports Illustrated noted that it hosted WrestleMania 30 and WrestleMania 34.
Elsewhere on the WrestleMania calendar, WrestleMania 43 is set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027, according to Slam Wrestling, and Sports Illustrated described it as the first WrestleMania held outside North America. The location of WrestleMania 44 in 2028 has not been announced.
Whether WWE will move forward with New Orleans for WrestleMania 45 is not yet known, and the company has not said what it plans to do with the dates. For now, the Superdome hold is a report from Fightful, and WWE has made no announcement about the site of WrestleMania 45.
