The Don Callis Family won the men's Blood and Guts match on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, when Adam Copeland surrendered to save Will Ospreay. No championship changed hands on the show, according to AEW's recap and Wrestling Inc's full-card results.
The Callis team of Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle beat Ospreay, Copeland, Darby Allin, Steven Borden and The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson. AEW's recap says Fletcher held a screwdriver to Ospreay's throat while Okada choked Copeland with a chain. NoDQ wrote that Fletcher took the microphone and asked Copeland to submit with the screwdriver raised over Ospreay, and that Copeland hesitated before giving up.
After the bell, Fletcher directed Wardlow to throw Allin off the top of the cage through a stack of tables on the floor, AEW and NoDQ both reported. NoDQ added that Fletcher promised to pursue the AEW World Championship at Full Gear. Earlier in the match, AEW's recap notes, Wardlow powerbombed Matt Jackson onto a trash can and The Young Bucks hit a Superkick Party on the Callis team.
The women's Blood and Guts match went the other way. The Brawling Birds, Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter, Wrathlander, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron, Willow Nightingale and TBS Champion Queen Aminata defeated Triangle of Madness, Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, Divine Dominion, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, and CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone. Julia Hart submitted to Cameron's single-leg crab while Statlander wrapped barbed wire across Hart's mouth, per AEW. Post Wrestling put the match at 45 minutes and noted tension between the Brawling Birds and Wrathlander, who meet for the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championships at Full Gear. AEW's recap says Bayne was busted open early, Hayter used beer bottles after opening a cooler, and Nightingale dumped toy bricks and broken glass from her backpack.
Also on the show, Mercedes Moné and Marina Shafir confronted each other at the cage entrance. Moné slapped Shafir, hit her with the AEW Women's World Championship belt and locked in the Statement Maker until officials broke it up, AEW reported. Post Wrestling lists Moné vs. Shafir for the Women's World Championship at Full Gear.
Dynamite also reshaped the Full Gear card. The AEW World Trios Championship match, with Hangman Adam Page, Brody King and Bandido defending against Swerve Strickland and The New Level, Austin Creed and Kofi Kingston, now has Texas Death rules. According to AEW, Bandido demanded the stipulation after a brawl with Strickland, and Page and King agreed. Jon Moxley recruited The Conglomeration to team with the Death Riders against The Cut in an Anarchy in the Arena match, AEW and Post Wrestling reported.
AEW's recap also lists FTR vs. Motor City Machine Guns as match four of their best of five series and Persephone vs. Mina Shirakawa for Full Gear. Before that, AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo defends against Tommaso Ciampa on Saturday's Collision, live from Chris Jericho's Rock N' Wrestling Rager at Sea on the Norwegian Jewel, in what AEW lists as his ninth defense.
Full Gear is set for Saturday, November 14, in Phoenix, Arizona.
