Drew McIntyre was spotted at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, according to PWInsider, which reported he was there to hold meetings with WWE officials and to film promotional material. Ringside News and Cultaholic both relayed the report on October 2.

PWInsider connected the filming to WWE's micro dramas, a project that also features Jacob Fatu and Joe Hendry, according to Ringside News.

McIntyre has not appeared on WWE television since he lost to Fatu at WrestleMania 42 in April 2026. His time away has been tied to outside work, including a Highlander reboot and The Last Druid, a historical drama starring Russell Crowe, Ringside News and Cultaholic noted.

The Stamford visit comes more than five months after that loss, which both outlets identified as his last television appearance. Ringside News wrote that the headquarters visit comes during his months long absence from the company's programming, which began after the WrestleMania 42 loss to Fatu.

Cultaholic added that reports this summer indicated there were no creative discussions about bringing McIntyre back to television. On September 25, McIntyre posted training footage on social media with the caption "Reps."

When McIntyre will return to WWE programming, and what the company has planned for him, is not yet known. Ringside News wrote that no return date has been announced and that creative plans have not been finalized. Cultaholic described the headquarters visit as encouraging but said nothing concrete has been announced.

As of Friday, McIntyre's visit to Stamford has been reported, and his return to television has not been confirmed.
