Necro Butcher, a deathmatch veteran who has never wrestled a match for WWE, has signed a WWE Legends deal, POST Wrestling reported Wednesday. PWInsider confirmed the report with WWE sources, and POST Wrestling said the outlet called it 100% accurate. Necro Butcher announced the agreement himself on Facebook.

"I have signed a basic legends deal with the WWE. The offer actually came in the day after I walked out of my job," Necro Butcher wrote on Facebook.

Necro Butcher, whose real name is Dylan Summers, is 53 and has wrestled professionally since 1998. Cultaholic lists IWA Mid-South, CZW, Ring of Honor, PWG, Juggalo Championship Wrestling and XPW among his promotions. His 2005 match with Samoa Joe was featured on Dark Side of the Ring.

POST Wrestling describes a Legends deal, also called a Nostalgia deal, as an agreement that compensates wrestlers for the use of their likeness. PWMania reported that WWE refers to Necro Butcher's agreement as a Nostalgia Agreement and that an email screenshot he shared carried the name of WWE President Nick Khan. Cultaholic said PWInsider believes Khan spearheaded the deal. Khan was also behind WWE's agreement with the estate of New Jack, which Cultaholic said covered WWE 2K video games and action figures.

"I will NOT miss my scheduled shows and most definitely will NOT be making any apology videos or speeches," Necro Butcher added in the same post.

No dollar figure or length for the deal has been disclosed, according to PWMania. It is not yet known whether the agreement includes any WWE appearance.

As of Wednesday, the deal is confirmed by PWInsider and its terms have not been made public.
