Ric Flair said a blood clot in his leg is limiting how far he can travel, and it kept him from attending the Cauliflower Alley Club's 60th reunion in Las Vegas. Wrestling Inc reported the news on August 28. Flair is 77.

Flair explained the situation himself in a video message to the event. "I have a blood clot in my leg, so I can't travel the five or six hour trips that it takes to go to get there," he said.

The club had honored him with the Iron Mike Mazurki Award. Because he could not attend, Jimmy Hart and Jerry Lawler accepted the award on his behalf during the event, while Flair took part by video to thank attendees for the honor. The acceptance came during the event in Las Vegas, where the club was marking its 60th reunion. By Flair's own description, the clot rules out any trip of five or six hours. Wrestling Inc notes that earlier recipients of the award include CM Punk, Sting, Mick Foley and JBL.

Wrestling Inc described the clot as one of several health challenges Flair has dealt with recently. The travel restriction comes from Flair's own account, not from a statement by a doctor or a representative.

Several details are not known. No treatment plan or procedure has been specified, and it is not known how long the travel restriction will last. Flair's upcoming appearances have not been addressed.

As of the August 28 report, Flair has a blood clot in his leg that rules out the long trips needed to reach events like the reunion.
